New Eltham SE9

New Eltham SE9

Welcome. Thank you for visiting the website for the consultation on an exciting new residential project for the development of part of the Co-op car park to the rear of Footscray and Blanmerle Road.

We are proposing to bring forward new quality homes that city makers – the workers who make London tick such as teachers, nurses, chefs, engineers, designers - can buy, bringing a welcome economic boost to the local area and creating community cohesion.

Our vision for the site

Providing new quality homes for local people and key workers in New Eltham
Creating a new and safer access between New Eltham Station and Blanmerle Road
Providing a new layout for a 31 space car park at the Co-op for the local community
Improving the biodiversity and cleaning up the site
Generating employment through construction
Promoting sustainable travel by providing a car free residential scheme

Pocket Statement following the Public Consultation on Saturday July 10 2021

Thank you to everyone who came along and participated in our introductory event on Saturday July 10 2021. We presented the principles of development of the potential site in order to receive as much feedback as possible. This will allow us to design what we hope will be a really successful Pocket building for first time buyers in Greenwich.

There were a lot of constructive comments and inputs and we are now going to take that away and work with our architects. Whilst the majority of people were friendly and engaging, unfortunately there was a small minority of people who felt the need to be physically and verbally abusive to Pocket staff. We would ask people to refrain from bad language and intimidation and work with us in a spirit of collaboration. We look forward to working with you over the coming months.
